Morning Sickness

Morning sickness STINKS!  It’s week 7 and the morning sickness has started.  Only in my case it should be called ‘All Day Sickness’ because if I’m awake I feel sick.

We are expecting!

I have never been one of those women who felt a strong desire to have a baby. I always thought as I got older the day would come where my biological clock would start ticking and I would say ‘Okay, I’m ready.’ I had now made it past my 32nd birthday and still heard no ticking. My husband, on the other hand, has a very loud ticker on his clock. He has been wanting babies (yes, that’s plural) since the day we got married. I had managed to hold him off for a year and a half now, but my time was running out. So, in June we both decided it was time to start a family. Well, 4 months later and I find myself pregnant. I wish I had a better story to tell about how I told Jeremy. I had an inkling I was pregnant about 2 weeks before I actually took the test. I didn’t tell him I was going to take a test because I wanted to surprise him but when that little pink line started to show up on the test, I started to panic. I’m thinking what have I gotten myself into. I was actually shaking a little bit when I went to tell him. All I could do was show him the test and say ‘I guess you’re happy now.’ Needless to say, he was very happy. A week and a half later we are at the doctor and sure enough, there is definitely a baby on the way!
